An international award-winning recording, performing and touring artist, Muthoni is a creative entrepreneur who has co-founded and run 2 large-scale music festivals, namely, Blankets & Wine (Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda) African Nouveau, and perFORM Music Incubator. Muthoni is a global thought leader at the intersection of artistry, creative enterprise and pan-Africanism.
Abba attained her Finance Bachelor’s degree from a liberal arts school in Michigan as part of the women’s education leadership fraternity, Zawadi Africa, and later received her MBA from Strathmore University. Her background in Marketing and Development ranges from multinational brand management to leading women and youth economic empowerment programmes across Africa. She is passionate about creating beautiful, quality products and solutions that serve her community’s needs and offer opportunities for cultural connection.
Melissa works to imagine, design, and build next-generation creative ventures so that upcoming Africans around the world can experience wider cultural and economic freedom. She works at the intersection of technology, business, development, and culture. As the world’s systems are at an inflection point, she focuses on seeding ventures that address challenges at the frontier such as climate sustainability and digital society. She collaborates with a global network and seeks to centre the African story.
With a passion for the entertainment and creative industry, Marlene has worked in the industry for 5 years. With her experience in project mapping and management, she ensures a smooth process flow within the program.
Having worked for 12 years in the corporate sector, Patricia has transitioned into the creative industry with a passion to tell the story and play a part in scaling up the exposure and diversifying the narrative. Every brand story stems from a core truth that speaks to the intended audience authentically.
With over 10 years’ experience in event production, Justine is a resourceful problem-solver with a passion for creating memorable experiences. She is the lead producer for Goodtimes Entertainment Ltd producing Blankets & Wine and Africa Nouveau festival in Kenya as well as advising and supporting the various heads of events outside Kenya through providing creative leadership to the production teams. In addition, she leads the events program at Perform Music incubator and executes all perform music incubator events.
