Who We Are
perFORM Music Incubator is a music business and artistic development incubator. Founded in 2019, the program focuses on enabling music industry practitioners in Africa to Filter, Order, Refine and Master the artistic and business skills required to build a sustainable music enterprise.
Our skilling programs interface with the music industry, and through mentorships, development of peer networks and work opportunities, the training produces real-life outcomes.
Who We’re Looking For
We are seeking trainers based in Nakuru County to lead practical, hands-on training sessions and mentorship programs for a 3-month engagement running from Mid-May to the end of July 2025.
You MUST be:
- Based in Nakuru County:
We are specifically recruiting trainers who live and work in Nakuru County. This is a local initiative, and we are prioritizing those who understand Nakuru’s creative ecosystem - Available for the Full Training Period:
You must be fully available from mid-May to the End of July 2025. This is a 3-month commitment, with regular training sessions, mentorship, and program
activities during this time. - An Experienced Professional in the Music or Creative Industry:
You have proven experience working in your area of expertise (artist development, management, publicity, event production, etc.). - Passionate About Capacity Building and Mentorship:
You believe in developing talent and building skills in others, and are excited to support emerging creatives in Nakuru and help them grow sustainable careers. - A Skilled Facilitator Who Delivers Practical, Hands-On Training:
You know how to make learning interactive, engaging, and actionable, and focus on real-world skills, not just theory. - Team Player with a Collaborative Mindset:
You’re ready to work alongside other trainers, mentors, and industry experts, and are open to peer learning, feedback, and contributing to a supportive community.

Artist Management

- Planning Music PR campaigns, analytics and measuring PR success
Event Production
- Event planning & logistics
- Budgeting & resource management
- Stage management & technical production
- Audience experience & safety
What You’ll Be Doing
- Facilitate training workshops and labs over a 3-month period
- Provide mentorship and coaching to program participants
- Contribute to peer learning activities and group projects
- Support participants in delivering their end-of-cohort showcase
- Share insights and practical knowledge drawn from your own experience
